WHAT IS INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING?

Indoor Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb natural rock formations or artificial rock walls whilst attached to a rope for safety. The goal is to reach the top of the route without falling. It is an amazing full body workout which everyone can try.


WHAT IS BOULDERING?

Bouldering is a fast-growing and social style of rock climbing. Climbers do not use ropes or harnesses, but scale shorter walls and are protected by a thick, padded floor. There is no equipment required to start bouldering, making it fast and easy to learn and enjoy. It is challenging and gymnastic, it builds strength and confidence, and is lots of fun! Suitable for climbers ages 12 + years of age.


I’VE NEVER CLIMBED BEFORE, CAN I JUST TURN UP?

Of course! Our indoor rock climbing gym caters for all abilities and you can rock up whenever you like. To start, we will run you through a safety demo, from there you can climb as little or much as you like! While we settle into our groove, please keep groups to 6 or less.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Everyone can indoor rock climb or boulder, either alone or with friends. Just drop by and we will get you started right away. 


WHAT DO I BRING?

Wear sporty, comfortable clothes that you would wear to a gym. We recommend not wearing short shorts whilst climbing as harnesses can rub. Harnesses and shoes are available to hire at reception, but we suggest beginners and kids wear runners. Please bring a towel and runners if you plan to hit the gym.


DO I NEED A CLIMBING PARTNER?

No, bouldering can be done solo and we have 3 auto belays if you want to climb the walls. We run a weekly Friday Night Social climbing session every week at 7pm. Just rock up and we will introduce you to our crew.


CAN I BRING KIDS?

Yes! Kids aged 4 years and above can come and try indoor rock climbing. We have a dedicated kids area with loads of variety. Parents will be taught to belay (for free). All Children under 18 require an adults permission to climb - a waiver will need to be signed at reception. We can teach those aged 12+ to belay, this means older kids can climb together without a parent.


CAN WE HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY?

Sure can! We run parties for kids turning 8 years and above. Bookings are essential so book in now by clicking HERE


CAN I BRING IN A GROUP?

Of course. We have lots of Scouts, Guides, Venturers, Youth Groups and corporate groups come in to climb. Bookings are essential so we can ensure you come at a suitable time and that we have the right staff on hand to help. Groups enquiries to go to bookings.k@climbfit.com.au
